Estimated base salary range $100,000 to $128,000 per year. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors

What does a Sr/Principal Engineer do?

Leads and executes major capital projects according to the agreed cost, schedule, and performance

Specifies equipment, work with suppliers and contractors to design, procure and install assets

Actively participates as a member of multifunctional project teams

Investigate equipment or process issues and recommend corrective action

Applies sound mechanical & precision maintenance principles on all projects and installations

Mentors and develops corporate or plant engineers and maintenance personnel

Participates in Agile Lean events to drive rapid process improvements

Partners with plant engineering, maintenance, and operations to assure customer requirements and expectations are met

Project Travel

Up to 50% depending on the scope and phases of ongoing projects

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

5-7 years of experience with project engineering and project management in a manufacturing environment

Experience with estimating project costs and stage gate approval process

Experience with SAPAbility to lead projects and teams

Hands-on installation and construction skills

Proven ability to communicate and integrate well across organizational functions/units

Demonstrated presentation skills

Willingness to travel to local and international locations

Experience using AutoCAD

Lean Practitioner certification or experience utilizing Lean tools
