Position Overview The Property Tax Senior Consultant works with the team to ensure timely preparation of property tax renditions and filings in accordance with state regulations. Responsibilities include classifying assets, analyzing assessment notices, and creating positive team and client experiences. The role requires analytical, problem-solving, and people skills, with an emphasis on research, database reconciliation, and detailed calculations. Key Responsibilities People: Create a positive team member experience.
Client: Respond to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
Value: Understand the property tax cycle and jurisdictional rules. Prepare and file tax returns accurately. Review client data and assess property reports. Analyze assessment notices for potential reductions. Utilize software efficiently for data processing. Handle appeals and participate in meetings with clients and leadership. Engage with clients to understand their industry and trends. Participate in recruiting and team interactions.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields; valuation designations preferred. 1-3 years of audit or tax experience. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Technical Skills Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and internet research.
Additional Requirements Valid driver’s license. No supervisory responsibilities.
