Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated experienced Registered Nurse to join the Progressive Care team. This role will be full‑time day shift 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., 3‑12 hour shifts from Monday to Friday (including some weekend shifts). Eligible nurses qualify for a sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Job Responsibilities

Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple data sets and synthesizing relationships.

Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends to achieve best practice.

Conducts all patient care in a patient and family centered manner, integrating knowledge, skills, and experience to meet patient and family needs throughout the continuum of care.

Advocates for patients’ rights and provides counsel while acting as a resource to resolve issues.

Accesses resources from all disciplines to achieve desired patient outcomes and coordinates healthcare and alternate services for patient/family transition planning.

Documents all patient care activities per standards and assists team members with documentation.

Evaluates processes to achieve outcomes, anticipates variances and revises plans of care.

Makes clinical decisions based on experience, patient data and intuition while promoting development of clinical decision making among team members.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If holding an associate’s degree (ADN), must complete a BSN within five years of start date.

Experience: Minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in an acute‑care setting.

Certification: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required upon start.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in Progressive Care and Cardiac Telemetry strongly preferred.
