Ready to make a difference? ICF is seeking a Senior Substation P&C Engineer to design relay‑ and protection‑and‑control projects on high‑voltage substations ranging from 12 kV to 500 kV, delivering high‑quality work for our clients.

What You Will Be Doing
Design and preparation of protection and control drawings:
Protective schemes
Substation relay one‑lines and three‑lines
AC/DC schematics
Substation panel layouts
Substation wiring diagram and cable schedule
SCADA and communication diagrams
DC system calculations
AC system calculations
Equipment specification and selection based on client criteria
Bill of materials development based on design criteria
Coordination with drafting, settings, and physical disciplines to ensure quality deliverables
Participation in client meetings and site visits for data gathering as required
Interpretation and incorporation of vendor information into design deliverables
Application of client standards related to the work
Field support during construction
QA/QC process adherence on all design packages
Continuous improvement of engineering, technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance
What We Need You To Have (minimum qualifications)
BS in engineering, preferably electrical or computer engineering
8+ years of protection and controls experience
8+ years of experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and MicroStation
What We Would Like You To Have
Engineering in Training license (EIT)
Professional Engineer license (PE)
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Word
Knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for technical plans, blueprints, and drawings
