What You’ll Do
Lead the DFM activities and deliverables for assigned projects.
Communicate requirements and risks associated with launching new products to the project team and large cross‑functional audiences, driving decisions on readiness to launch.
Manage early product/technology pilots: identify material needs, schedule manufacturing time, establish success criteria, and resolve issues.
Create required pilot documentation including material checklists, data collection forms, results summaries, and issue trackers.
Be a voice for manufacturing and lead change to identify improvement opportunities.
Serve as SME of the piloting process, ensuring pilots match program complexity.
Create and apply DFM tools to identify design risks early for faster, more successful launches.
Lead FMEA discussions with the cross‑functional team to identify risks and actions to reduce or minimize them.
Collaborate with manufacturing leaders and senior staff on new designs for early feedback on risks or concerns.
Participate in regularly scheduled project calls and provide feedback on deliverable status and project risks.
What You’ll Bring
Industrial or Mechanical Engineering degree.
Minimum 5‑year work experience in an Engineering role.
Experience in manufacturing and launching new products.
Ability to work with large teams and lead groups to find new solutions.
Agility to work in a fast‑paced, team environment and handle short‑notice assignments.
Proficiency in MS Office suite.
Excellent communication at all levels and cross‑functional, building cooperative relationships.
High personal conviction, self‑management, and prioritization skills.
Team‑oriented approach, initiative, flexibility, and collaborative mindset.
Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Travel to manufacturing locations up to 50%.
Primarily sedentary work.
