Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, the Sales Applications Engineer will join our team in Ashburn, VA. As the Applications Engineer at Janitza, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful integration, deployment, and maintenance of power metering solutions for clients. You will be responsible for understanding client requirements, supporting testing and configuration of unique solutions, and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

What You'll Do

Lead technical sales engagements, including discovery sessions, live demos, and presentations.

Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical expertise during pre-sales activities.

Understand customer's needs and recommend the appropriate products and solutions.

Develop and deliver training to customers and sales teams.

Prepare and review sales technical documentation, including high-level system designs, bill of materials, product specifications, and scope of work narrative.

Collaborate with the engineering team to address specific product development needs.

Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and technical developments.

Ensure compliance with company and industry standards in all projects.

Maintain a high degree of awareness about emerging technologies and their potential applications within our product suite.

Manage multiple sales projects and deadlines effectively, liaising with various internal departments.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Proven work experience as a Sales Applications Engineer or similar roles such as an electrical or applications engineering, preferably in the power management industry.

Strong understanding of electrical systems, data acquisition, and energy management solutions.

Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working closely with cross functional teams and interacting professionally with clients.

Proficiency in using sales, collaboration and engineering software tools such as Salesforce, Excel, Word, Visio, AutoCad, Teams.

A keen problem solver with a customer-oriented approach.

Ability to interpret technical specifications and blueprints.
