Overview This position is located at Radiology Service with VA San Diego Healthcare System. Technologist receives and interprets requests or instructions for procedures in both CT and Angio/Interventional. Employee reviews pre-procedure laboratory test results and determines if results fall within the established safety limits for receiving iodinated contrast material (BUN, Creatinine) and that blood coagulation levels (PT, INR) are within safe levels.

Responsibilities Major duties include but are not limited to:

Receive and interpret requests or instructions for procedures in CT and Angio/Interventional.

Review pre-procedure laboratory test results to determine if results fall within established safety limits for iodinated contrast material (BUN, Creatinine).

Ensure blood coagulation levels (PT, INR) are within safe levels for procedures requiring iodinated contrast.

Requirements OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT

and will remain open until April 30, 2026. The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be November 1, 2025, with subsequent cut-off dates on the 1st of each month. Eligible applications received after that date will be referred at regular intervals or as additional vacancies occur on an as-needed basis until positions are filled.
