Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Staff Systems Engineer to serve as
the Program Integration & Operations
Lead based out of Fairfax, VA or Linthicum, MD.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to complete tasks with little direction and oversight, be an effective communicator and problem solver, and develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers. This candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity.
What You’ll Get To Do
Responsibilities will include familiarity with dynamic infrastructure framework, software baseline deployment, verification and validation approaches and outcomes, and operational environment and maritime mission management knowledge translation. Working with the program office to ensure execution and tracking of committed‑to work in each increment. Working across teams and with all Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads to ensure tracking of actions, meeting of needs, and proper work tracking and process execution. Providing support to program planning processes and workflow processes. Additional responsibilities may include an understanding of plan, design and development artifacts, implementation, integration and test event reports, and operations and training deployment activities within the System Integration Lifecycle.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of related experience; 10 years of related experience with a Master’s degree; 8 years of related experience with a PhD. An additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required at time of application
Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills
Ability to delegate tasks, track actions and brief status as needed
JIRA and Confluence skills including dashboards
Ability to create or improve processes and workflows based on demonstrated experience
Preferred Qualifications
Agile coaching experience, Scrum Master, Product Owner
Experience with Agile Earned Value Management (EVM)
Primary Level Salary Range: $148,400.00 - $233,300.00
The above salary range is a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Northrop Grumman also provides a variety of benefits—including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off for vacation or personal business.
