Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Application Modernization Application Architect to engage with customer architects, developers, and business leaders, providing expertise in software design and modernization. This role involves analyzing software architectures, guiding remediation efforts, documenting IT designs, and supporting application rationalization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in .NET or Java, domain-driven design, and modernization strategies. Key Responsibilities Engage with customer architects, developers, and business leaders, providing software design and development expertise. Analyze software architecture, identify issues, and guide architectural remediation using vFunction. Plan, analyze, and document functional and technical architectures. Document future IT designs across business, systems, data, infrastructure, and security domains. Identify and document technical capability gaps and provide IT recommendations. Present proposed IT updates, decommissions, or new implementations to customer leadership. Support application rationalization efforts as a subject matter expert. Document application and data re-architecting, refactoring, rebuilding, removing, or replacing as rationalization outcomes. Provide conceptual data modeling at various levels of granularity and scope. Review logical data models and physical database design requirements. Guide and oversee integrator teams, ensuring timely and high-quality completion of tasks. Manage and oversee development execution in lower landscapes, ensuring adherence to processes and best practices. Participate in Agile planning events and ceremonies, contributing to objectives and goals. Brief internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, on technical solutions and recommendations. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Professional Services Engineer, Solution Engineer, or similar customer-facing role. 10+ years of software development experience in .NET or Java (Spring or JEE experience is a plus). Strong experience in analyzing application architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD). Experience in application modernization is an advantage. Ability to work in complex technical environments and troubleshoot effectively. Experience training customers and writing technical documentation. Location:
