Overview
Work at one of the largest healthcare systems in South Carolina. Spartanburg Regional Medical Center is a 35‑bed, Level‑III NICU that delivers comprehensive neonatal care, including high‑frequency ventilation and hypothermia therapy.
Responsibilities We have an exciting opportunity available for a BC/BE Neonatologist to join our unit at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
The hospital has about 3,400‑3,900 deliveries, 370‑400 NICU admissions annually and operates a daily census of 25‑29 infants.
Oversee the 35‑bed, Level‑III NICU, providing comprehensive neonatal care including high‑frequency ventilation and hypothermia therapy.
Well‑baby rounding 2 weeks out of 4 weeks with the Family Medicine Residency program.
The team consists of 4 Neonatologists: one week on service, every other night on call, one week off.
NNP night coverage – 12‑hour PM shifts.
Subspecialty support – Cardiology, Surgery and Ophthalmology, and collaboration with a 3‑member MFM group.
South Carolina medical license is a plus but not required.
Location Spartanburg is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, offering an aesthetic Southern charm and outdoor activities. With parks, trails, and rivers, it is recognized as the first Bicycle Friendly Community in South Carolina. The city has award‑winning public and private schools, eight colleges and universities, and a high quality of life.
