About The Role Salesforce is seeking a Senior Workday Financials & Integrations Engineer (SMTS) to join our Digital Enterprise Technology (DET) organization. In this hybrid role, you will configure, develop, and test Workday functionalities and integrations to support our IT Finance systems. You will partner with business stakeholders, internal Workday teams, and external integrators to deliver high‑quality Workday solutions across Procure‑to‑Pay and other Financials processes.

Responsibilities Workday Development & Configuration

Deliver Workday enhancements covering functional and technical aspects of Workday Financials.

Lead design sessions with developers, product managers, analysts, and stakeholders.

Implement complex Workday business processes, security, reports, and calculated fields.

Integrations & Technical Leadership

Design, build, and maintain Workday integrations using Workday Studio, XSLT, and Web Services (SOAP/REST).

Collaborate with third‑party integrators and internal teams to implement solutions.

Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers on Workday best practices.

Testing & Quality Assurance

Build scalable test automation using tools such as Kainos.

Create and execute test plans, track defects, and ensure quality meets stakeholder expectations.

Lead activities for Workday release upgrades and change management processes.

Required Skills

Workday Certifications: Integrations (Partner/Pro), Studio, Workday Extend.

7+ years of Workday Financials and Integrations experience, including Procure‑to‑Pay processes.

Deep understanding of Chart of Accounts, Ledgers, Sub‑Ledgers, and Financials architecture.

Hands‑on experience with XSLT, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and Workday Studio.

Knowledge of Workday Security, Business Processes, Reports, Calc Fields, and BIRT.

Strong understanding of SOX compliance, Change Management, and Release Management.

Experience leading full lifecycle Workday implementations.

Proficiency in relational databases and data modeling (SQL/ SOQL).

Agile/Scrum experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant experience.

Desired Skills

Familiarity with other Workday modules such as GL and Assets.

Knowledge of Financial SaaS applications like Concur Expense or Coupa.

Experience with version control, code collaboration, and CI/CD systems (GIT).

Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills in a global team environment.
