We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced

Senior Production Manager

to join our

Plant Leadership Team

at our

Vanita Park, Missouri

plant. Reporting directly to the Site Senior Director of Manufacturing, you will champion our critical high speed

Aerosol and Liquid Filling

operations, driving supply chain success from end-to-end. This leadership position requires you to be the

strategic champion

who inspires, develops, and leads the manufacturing team to achieve success. You will own all critical operational KPIs—including

Service, Cost, Productivity, Quality, Safety, and NPD/EPD start‑up —by actively driving the implementation and sustainment of

Continuous Improvement (CI)/Lean Manufacturing

efforts across the plant.

This role oversees a highly dynamic, seasonal business that is a

24/7 continuous operation

during peak periods, requiring you to lead a team of supervisors, engineers, and maintenance personnel who guide an overall workforce of 100 to 200 employees.

Operational Command & Financial Stewardship

Financial Performance:

Maintain full accountability for the financial performance of all managed manufacturing areas, ensuring compliance with budgets and proactively identifying opportunities for cost reduction without sacrificing quality or safety.

Maximize Flow:

Optimize production flow, manage staffing for the 24/7 schedule, and relentlessly troubleshoot manufacturing issues to ensure the on‑time production and shipment of conforming products.

Strategic Growth:

Develop and execute plans that directly support the Home & Garden business’s 3‑year strategic growth objectives.

Continuous Improvement & Quality Leadership

Drive CI:

Lead the implementation and sustainment of

Lean Manufacturing principles

across multiple production units. You will lead the Tier Lean Process to meet or exceed daily

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

and continually monitor results against planned goals, taking swift corrective action.

Compliance Governance:

Partner with Quality and Regulatory groups to uphold high product quality standards and implement robust quality systems that meet customer requirements.

Cross‑Functional Strategy

Site Leadership:

Serve as a critical

member

of the Plant Leadership Team, leading the development and sharing of best practices across the entire corporate network.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration:

Work collaboratively across functions (Quality, Supply Chain, Finance) to ensure cohesive execution toward unified

KPIs

( service, cost, quality, and safety ).

Education and Experience Profile

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related degree

7 or more years of

management experience in a manufacturing environment

CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) company experience preferred

Lean manufacturing experience

ERP experience (e.g., SAP)

Required Skills

Experience with using technology associated with filler and packaging lines preferred

High speed aerosol and/or liquid filling experience preferred

Strong leadership experience with proven results in manufacturing and supply chain.

Clearly demonstrated ability to develop manufacturing methods to meet product cost targets.

Strong ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer proficiency.

Capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment with exceptional attention to detail.

Solid analytical and mathematical skills.

Ability to comprehend financial reports including budgetary guidelines, manufacturing labor and material standards, and project expenditures.

Ability to delegate and assign work, problem‑solve, answer questions and evaluate performance.

Ability to exercise independent judgment and interact with maturity and professionalism with subordinates, peers, superiors and external organizations including, but not limited to, customers and governmental agencies.

Work Environment Role Location:

On‑site, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM CST (core work hours)
