Quickparts is seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented CNC Programmer / CNC Operator / 3D Printing Build Programmer to join our advanced manufacturing team. This hybrid role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines, as well as preparing and managing 3D printing builds. The ideal candidate will have strong technical aptitude, experience with both subtractive and additive manufacturing processes, and a passion for precision engineering. Key Responsibilities
Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software based on engineering drawings and specifications. Set up, operate, and monitor CNC milling machines, lathes, or routers for production and prototype parts. Perform tool selection, fixture design, and machine setup to ensure efficient and accurate production. Conduct in‑process inspections and quality checks using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.). Prepare 3D models for additive manufacturing: slice files, select materials, and set up 3D printers (FDM, SLA, SLS, or similar). Monitor 3D printing builds and troubleshoot issues. Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize part designs for manufacturability and cost‑effectiveness. Maintain accurate records of machine programs, builds, maintenance, and production output. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in machining, manufacturing technology, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in CNC programming and operation; experience with 3D printing/additive manufacturing strongly preferred. Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM) and 3D printing slicers (3D Sprint, Materialise Magics, Grab CAD, etc.). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D CAD models. Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and manual dexterity. Familiarity with a range of CNC machines and 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA, SLS, etc.). Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience with multi‑axis CNC machining and advanced 3D printing techniques. Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Understanding of materials science as it relates to metals, plastics, and composites. Benefits Offered At Quickparts
