Job Type:
Regular RAND is seeking an Accountant to support financial transactions and reporting within the Finance & Accounting department. Responsibilities
Journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, preparation of management reports, quarterly/annual financial statements, rollforwards, and revenue recognition. Compile and prepare supporting documentation and schedules for audit requests. Research, compile, and analyze data for projects/reports as needed. Basic Qualifications
Experience and understanding of accounting transactions required Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills Ability to organize workflow in an efficient manner Aptitude to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy Proficiency using MS Office suite required Strong Excel skills with experience with large data sets required Preferred Qualifications
Experience in non-profit accounting strongly a plus Experience with the Workday ERP, a plus Education
Minimum BS/BA in Finance, Business or Accounting CPA / or working towards CPA a plus Experience
Minimum of 1 year experience related to Business or Accounting required Location
Santa Monica, CA or Washington, DC - hybrid work arrangement (2-3 days in office) Positions Open
One Salary Range
$64,400 - $96,100 RAND considers a variety of factors when formulating an offer, including but not limited to, the specific role and associated responsibilities; a candidate’s work experience, education/training, skills, expertise; and internal equity. The salary range includes base pay plus RAND’s sabbatical pay (which provides additional compensation above base pay when vacation is taken).
