Novant Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry with a focus on providing high-quality psychiatric services in an acute behavioral health setting.
Opportunity Highlights
The Inpatient Psychiatrist will be caring for assigned patients on our 62-bed adult unit
Opportunity for either a 7 on/7 off schedule or five days a week
Ability to teach Novant Health Psychiatric Residents
Psychiatrists will have access to a full spectrum of care options, including ECT, for individuals with treatment-resistant mood and psychotic disorders
Candidate Qualifications
Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
Responsibilities & Duties
Patient population: 18+ for acute care, with potential to consult on those below 18 when needed
Complete daily rounding and timely documentation on assigned patients
Collaborative approach with multidisciplinary treatment team that includes providers, nursing, therapy and support staff
Provide supervision and mentorship of psychiatric residents and medical students
