Job Overview We are seeking several Data Scientists for full‑time, permanent opportunities with our client, a large hospital system. The role focuses on data collection, transformation, visualization, and advanced analytics to support decision‑making across numerous healthcare operations.

Compensation Base pay range: $120,000 – $170,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and improve dashboards, applications, and automations within the Power Platform suite (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps), SharePoint, and InfoPath environments to reduce or eliminate manual effort in data processing.

Connect to and leverage APIs, system‑to‑system connections, and manual data transfer for business intelligence extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes.

Build predictive risk models using statistical analysis to support data‑driven solutions.

Identify and apply AI and machine learning techniques to extract insights from unstructured system documentation and automate processes.

Develop and carry out full‑service data calls, including creation of collection applications and forms, data normalization, cleansing, and visualization.

Create insightful business‑intelligence analyses and visualizations for senior management and IT system owners.

Research and recommend data storage and integration solutions tailored to the IT environment.

Develop user guides and documentation for BI products.

Design new approaches to handle, analyze, and use large data sets.

Resolve complex data and storage issues.

Analyze and report results with actionable recommendations.

Incorporate data science tools such as scripting (SQL, R, Python, etc.) into existing and new services.

Connect with new sources of business intelligence to answer key leadership questions.

Work on data collection for regular and ad‑hoc data calls for internal and external customers, enhance service request portals, dashboards, and visualizations integrating data from SharePoint, applications, files, and external sources; develop Power Automations and AI/ML‑enhanced BI reporting; cleanse and curate datasets; redevelop quantitative cybersecurity and risk assessment tools; and develop additional quantitative risk assessment capabilities.

Qualifications

PhD required.

Minimum 7 years of experience as a data scientist or related role.

Proficiency in Power Platform tools, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps.

Strong programming skills in SQL, R, Python, or equivalent.

Experience with APIs, ETL processes, and data warehousing.

Background in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning.

Excellent communication skills and ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
