Level & Co.
Level & Co. is a secondary market gallery specializing in Post‑War and Contemporary art, ranging from abstract expressionism to neo‑expressionism to 21st‑century masters. Acting as a primary sourcing agent and broker, we facilitate transactions that generate more than $100 million per year for collectors and the gallery.
We are looking for a savvy, resourceful, and diligent New York‑based sales specialist with a deep focus on Post‑War and Contemporary Art to work directly as a client manager with our President.
Responsibilities
Manage special projects for key clients (acquisitions, due diligence, consignments, advisory).
Conduct new client outreach on behalf of Level & Co. President and build new client relationships for the gallery.
Manage key intermediary relationships for the gallery.
Proactively generate new business opportunities.
Plan and execute exhibitions.
Attend key art world events, fairs, and auctions.
Host client viewings.
Short‑Term Focus (First Few Months)
Manage acquisition projects for key Level & Co clients.
Conduct outreach to establish new relationships.
Help plan upcoming exhibitions.
Conduct daily outreach to prospective clients.
Requirements or Skill Sets
8+ years in a specialist role at a leading gallery, auction house, or as an independent dealer.
Expertise in Post‑War and Contemporary Art at $1 mm+ price points.
Experience with negotiations and the ability to multitask.
Team player, proactive, highly organized, and attentive to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Fluency in at least one other language is preferred.
Ability to travel (local and international).
Additional Requirements
Must be eligible for full‑time U.S. work – no exceptions.
Must be able to work from our NY office – this is not a remote role.
Must be able to travel periodically for short stints.
