Shift Information

Flex hours: 6:00‑9:00 am to 2:30‑5:30 pm

Weekend requirements: As needed

On‑call required: No

AWS Hours Requirement: 8/40 – 8 Hour Shift

Variable shift start and end times

Hourly Pay Range: $34.17 - $44.09 - $49.37

What You Will Do Identify and report coding and documentation practices, making recommendations to ensure accurate reporting of services provided by clinical providers and to support implementation of correct coding standards as established by SHC Corporate Compliance in accordance with CMS and local MAC requirements.

Required Qualifications

3 years of experience auditing coding and medical record documentation in an ambulatory care setting.

Experience developing training materials and presenting to a large group of professionals.

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) – AAPC or Certified Coding Specialist – Physician‑based (CCS‑P) (AHIMA) – REQUIRED.

Two years of college or five years of working experience in a healthcare environment related to auditing medical records and CMS compliance.

Essential Functions

Conduct audit risk assessments, create concise reports, and present findings to departments and individual providers.

Provide client support to providers, clinical, and coding staff, including TES/CM edit resolution.

Communicate audit results and provide timely training and feedback to ensure coding compliance.

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of ICD‑10, CPT, HCPCS, Medicare, and payer guidelines.

Collect, analyze, and report data trends and findings to management.

Continually educate through conferences, seminars, and workshops.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent working knowledge of CPT, ICD‑10, and HCPCS codes.

Thorough understanding of Medicare, insurance documentation, and compliance requirements.

Expert knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Ability to educate and train staff at all levels.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Professional approach with mature judgement and confidentiality.
