Experienced VP of Engineering
Active clearance preferred
12+ years of experience in cloud architecture, DevOps, cybersecurity, or related technical fields
5+ years of experience in technical leadership roles with demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams
Proven track record of architecting and delivering FedRAMP and/or DoD IL2‑IL6 authorized systems
Deep experience with federal compliance frameworks, including NIST 800‑53, RMF, and continuous monitoring requirements
Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, security controls, and compliance capabilities
Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) and GitOps workflows
Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) in secure, air‑gapped, and compliance‑focused environments
Comprehensive knowledge of Identity and Access Management solutions and Zero Trust architecture principles
Experience with security tooling including SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation platforms
Expert‑level knowledge of AWS services and AWS GovCloud with relevant certifications
AWS Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Security Specialty certification required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related technical field; Master's degree preferred
Duties
Serve as the principal technical authority for the Compliance BU, providing architectural guidance and technical direction across Platform Engineering, Customer Success, and SoC teams
Define and maintain the technical vision and roadmap for the Advantage platform capabilities, ensuring alignment with FedRAMP High, DoD IL5, and emerging compliance requirements
Lead cross‑functional architecture reviews and design sessions to ensure consistency, scalability, and security across customer deployments
Drive technical decision‑making for complex compliance scenarios, including multi‑cloud architectures, control inheritance models, and continuous monitoring strategies
Partner with the Senior Leadership team to translate business objectives into technical initiatives and quarterly rocks
Establish and maintain architectural standards, design patterns, and technical best practices across the compliance delivery lifecycle
Own the end‑to‑end technical architecture for Advantage deployments across AWS GovCloud, GCP, and commercial cloud environments
Lead the design and evolution of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates, ensuring they meet FedRAMP and DoD security control requirements
Drive automation initiatives that reduce deployment time and improve compliance evidence collection
Provide technical leadership for complex engineering challenges, including container security, network segmentation, encryption strategies, and secure CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with the Engineering team to enhance GitLab automation, Terraform modules, and secure deployment tooling
Champion DevSecOps practices and ensure security controls are built into the development process from day one
