Key Account Manager (Semiconductor) Location: San Jose, CA.

For 75 years, Comet has focused on X‑ray and radio‑frequency technology to support safer, more efficient, and sustainable production, mobility, and communication. In the Plasma Control Technologies division, we produce specialized components for precise plasma process control used in memory chips, touch screens, sensors, and smartphones.

Job Summary The Key Account Manager will develop Comet Technologies’ position as a critical supplier and development partner to grow revenue and market share at global strategic accounts.

Responsibilities

Provide hands‑on engagement at all levels within the Lam Research account, focusing on driving design‑in wins and building advocates for Comet Technologies.

Assist the Director of Lam Research Business to develop and maintain a detailed account profile, including organization structure, key relationships matrix, served market segments and processes, strategic focus, Comet share position, and competitive landscape.

Identify and understand emerging applications and opportunities for Comet products.

Update and manage all opportunities, leads, and contacts in the Comet CRM tool.

Communicate customer requirements to the Product Management team for potential new Comet products, derivatives, and services.

Manage projects; work closely with customers, engineering, operations, and quality to meet customer needs.

Travel as required to global account key manufacturing and support centers to provide support and better understand challenges across the company’s business units.

Develop sales strategies and execute tactics to increase Comet sales revenue and customer satisfaction.

Skills You Bring

Knowledge and understanding of RF technology and semiconductor processes, including etch, deposition, and related processes.

Proven expertise in establishing and nurturing customer relationships. Extensive existing customer relations are a plus.

Ability to understand and clearly communicate technical information with stakeholders at both Lam Research and Comet.

Credentials You Possess

BS degree in Business or Engineering; MBA preferred.

Five to ten years of related key account experience, including experience with major semiconductor OEM account management.

Compensation Base salary plus sales incentive compensation. Estimated total compensation ranges from $185,000 to $215,000 annually.
