About Us
Wilmington Eye, southeastern North Carolina’s largest, privately-owned multi-specialty ophthalmology practice, is seeking a Glaucoma Surgeon to join our growing surgical team. For 50 years, Wilmington Eye has focused on putting patients and employees first. We serve patients across southeastern North Carolina and offer comprehensive ophthalmology plus a variety of specialties, including pediatric, oculoplastic, cornea and glaucoma. We also have a growing team of optometrists and a physician assistant that offer preventative and long-term care. As the only multispecialty ophthalmology group around, our community looks to us for vision care. Our physicians and staff enjoy an environment where their opinions and voices are heard. Plus, as a state-of-the-art, progressive practice, we ensure our doctors have access to the latest technology and equipment, including topography, Argos Biometer, Lenstar, IOLMaster, Cirrus OCT, CLARUS, OPTOS, Humphrey VF, YAG/SLT lasers, and the iLASIK platform. Wilmington Eye is a high-volume ophthalmic practice seeing over 100,000 patients per year. We have seen 10+% growth each year for the last five years; the growth is through adding providers, services and organic growth of current providers. Our facilities include a recently renovated 23,000 square foot main office and eight convenient locations in southeastern NC. We obtained a CON in 2019 and opened our 6-room ophthalmic ASC in fall 2021. The ASC currently utilizes 4 rooms and posted over 8,700 ophthalmic cases in 2024. Despite rapid growth and staffing challenges, the average staff tenure for our practice is 5 years. We have a formal training program for all new staff. Life in Wilmington, North Carolina

Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience. Compensation is a combination of a base salary guarantee and a production bonus based on a percentage of net collections. This position is partnership track which includes not only partnership in the practice, but also in an investment real estate LLC and the ASC (these are all separate corporations). Our benefits package includes negotiable relocation costs, malpractice insurance, health insurance, vacation time, CME allowances and a retirement plan. Education
