CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER
The company is seeking junior, mid-level, and senior Cyber Security Engineers to provide SETA support in Hanover, MD.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Train users and promote security awareness to ensure system security and improve server and network efficiency.
Develop plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure, and meet emergency data processing needs.
Confer with users to discuss issues such as data access needs, security violations, and programming changes.
Monitor reports of computer viruses to determine when to update virus protection systems.
Modify security files to incorporate new software, correct errors, or change access permissions.
Regulate access to data files to safeguard information.
Perform risk assessments and test data processing systems to ensure security and functionality.
Encrypt data transmissions and erect firewalls to protect confidential information during transmission.
Document security policies, procedures, and tests.
Review security violations and discuss procedures with violators to prevent recurrence.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, telecommunications, or related field (6 years of experience may substitute for degree).
Minimum years of experience in DoD INFOSEC:
Junior: 3 years
Mid-level: 5 years
Senior: 8 years
SECURITY CLEARANCE
Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
TRAVEL
Some travel may be required.
