As a Customer Service Representative, you will respond to customer inquiries via telephone or email, providing timely and effective solutions for both routine and more complex issues. You will obtain orders, verify and enter items, transfer them to fulfillment, and communicate stock-outs and expected delivery dates to customers. You will review backorders and customers’ buying history, take proactive action on open orders at risk of missing promised delivery dates, and notify customers as needed. Serving as the primary liaison with customers, you will ensure seamless interactions between the company and internal or external stakeholders. Additionally, you will collaborate with Accounts Receivable to resolve invoice discrepancies, identify opportunities for process improvement, and navigate customer systems with accuracy and speed, staying current with system updates and changes.

Responsibilities

Support customer base by answering questions, concerns, account inquiries as well as handling customer complaints.

Process payments for cash account customers.

Research and resolve customer problems, acting as the customer liaison between other departments when necessary.

Back-up support to sales counter with walk in and telephone inquiries.

Qualifications

High School Degree or Equivalent required

Associates’ Degree preferred

2-4 years of relevant experience

Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

Able to work well under pressure

Strong attention to detail

Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times

Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, and e-mail
