Overview
BizTek People is in search for a Logistic Support Specialist (Healthcare) for our client in Portland, OR!
Schedule type:
5 days per week, 8 hours per shift.
Shift time:
3:30 PM to 12:00 AM (midnight).

This position plays a vital role in ensuring that customers have the necessary goods and services to perform their work effectively and support the organization’s mission of care, education, and innovation. The role involves frequent communication with customers to identify and resolve issues, ensuring seamless operations in medical supply and linen distribution.
This is an intermediate-level role within the logistics job classification and reports to the Logistics Manager. The position may also serve as a backup lead worker as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Operations:
Perform receiving, stocking, data entry, picking, and delivery tasks to meet daily operational goals.
Inventory and Restocking:
Refill and maintain ScrubAvail dispensers and linen chute rooms to ensure consistent product availability.
Preventive maintenance and systems:
Perform preventive maintenance and restocking of Pyxis/ParEx supply systems to support accurate patient charge capture.
Facility and Equipment Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; keep shelves, storage areas, and equipment in proper order; report any deficiencies promptly; ensure compliance with housekeeping, safety, and facility maintenance standards.
Fleet and Vehicle Operations:
Safely operate organizational vehicles as required; assist with vehicle maintenance, refueling, and inspections; maintain accurate driver logs and perform basic roadside assistance tasks when needed.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow safety protocols and maintain familiarity with departmental policy, safety, and MSDS manuals; handle hazardous materials and soiled linen using appropriate safety precautions.
Additional Duties:
Support recall processes by reviewing recall notices; perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.
Working Conditions Employees in this role may encounter:
Exposure to soiled linen and hazardous materials (e.g., cleaning solutions or medical fluids).
Work environments affected by weather conditions such as rain, heat, snow, or humidity.
Variable noise levels, dust, vibration, and occasionally wet or slippery surfaces.
Qualifications Education:
Must be able to read and write English and perform basic math.
Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
Entry-level experience in warehousing, retail, or inventory management.
Familiarity with inventory control systems and shipping/receiving processes preferred.
Skills and Requirements:
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Ability to comply with company policies and safety standards.
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
