Job Summary
This position will lead the Electronics Maintenance Department and combine the two existing teams into one. Responsibilities include standardizing documentation, training, cross‑training on all electronics tester equipment, developing a single Electronics Maintenance Shop, and standardizing responsibilities across the Consolidated Electronics Maintenance Department, Production Maintenance, and Tester Design Engineering departments.
Essential Responsibilities
Lead the Electronics Maintenance Department responsible for maintaining all Electronics Production Test Equipment.
Negotiate timely implementation of improvement projects through support groups, interacting with associates, management, customers, and vendors.
Perform daily visual inspections of the department, including machines, safety, and 5S, ensuring corrective action is taken promptly.
Design, develop, and implement training plans for the department using internal and external resources.
Establish effective lines of communication and feedback with all production, maintenance, and support groups.
Actively engage in focus improvement activities to support production reliably while maintaining minimal cost.
Prepare various reports (monthly control charts, downtime, PM activity, kaizen, budget) and attend meetings with associates and management.
Train and mentor others on company policies, procedures, and technical skills.
Manage onsite calibration of test equipment yearly, negotiating with production, maintenance, and tester design for line availability and criticality.
Review purchase requisitions, track department expenses, and order parts and other items.
Prepare and present procurement documents and approvals for investment‑level items.
Analyze downtime situations and develop permanent solutions to reduce or prevent future downtime.
Coordinate and lead all annual and ongoing projects.
Evaluate team members’ performance and assist in upgrading their development and talent.
Plan and improve department policies and procedures.
Perform HR activities: track time and attendance, counseling, scheduling, etc.
Participate in interviewing candidates and recommend new hires.
Maintain corporate culture conformance as expressed in the Associate Handbook.
Requirements Minimum Qualifications
2‑year degree or equivalent experience.
5‑10 years leadership experience in maintenance and reliability.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
Proficient problem‑solving and creative thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
4‑year degree or equivalent experience.
Strong background managing multiple teams.
Proficient in public speaking.
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
Salary range: $110,000 – $155,000.
Travel as needed based on company business requirements. This position may require off‑shift and weekend maintenance support for 24/7 operation.
