Our client is looking for a
Registered Architect
with 8+ years of experience who will project manage teams of Architects and Engineers for client projects. This position is for the Orlando, FL office, with two hybrid days working from home.
The Project Manager will actively participate in client projects, from marketing to fee proposals, design, permitting, and construction, and will contribute to the project’s success by achieving scope, deliverables (reports, drawings, specifications), schedule, client budget, internal project budget, quality control, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Successfully contribute to multi-disciplinary efforts and manage project activities.
Hold project teams responsible for best practices and quality expectations.
Manage projects in accordance with the client’s guidelines and be responsible for project communications and documentation.
Monitor and manage contracts, project financial performance, invoicing and collections; forecast, develop, track and revise project budgets and schedules.
Establish project plans, milestones and coordinate with internal and external team members to align with these plans.
Lead external teams, including coordination of consultants, technical experts and construction partners, to ensure all parties adhere to contract requirements and industry best practices.
Lead internal team members to complete design and documentation for complex projects and organize and lead project meetings.
Manage project scope, control out‑of‑scope work and scope creep.
Manage the execution of lessons learned and project impact post‑project completion.
Foster a positive client experience through proactive communication and performance.
Maintain a critical understanding of the organization’s business, operations and corporate strategy.
Uphold company culture and team member engagement by managing hours and responsibilities throughout the project life cycle.
Provide guidance, feedback and support to project managers and other project staff; help staff resolve issues and develop strategies for the future; establish a relationship of trust.
Other duties as assigned.
Core Technical and Industry Knowledge
DoD project experience (Army Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC, AFCEC, etc.).
Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) knowledge.
Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) familiarity.
Understanding of federal budgeting and programming processes (e.g., DD Form 1391).
Contract administration and task order management under IDIQ or MATOC contracts.
Experience with submittals, RFIs and government reporting systems (e.g., RMS 3.0, ProjNet, DrChecks).
Familiarity with NAVFAC’s eNAPS, BIM 360 or USACE systems.
Experience with commissioning processes and facility turnover documentation (O&M manuals, As‑Builts).

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
Licensed professional (Registered Architect or PE).
Certification a plus (e.g., PMP, LEED).
Minimum of 8 years Project Management experience with 3 years or more of DoD experience and increasing responsibility.
1 year of experience with fee proposals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective listening, comprehension and nonverbal communication skills.
The ability to present a positive image of our client at client meetings, business functions, industry conferences and professional association meetings.
