Leidos Engineering has an opportunity for a
Project Manager I (PM I)
who will work alongside lead engineers and account managers supporting tranismission line engineering projects for various electric utility clients throughout the United States. The PM will be part of an established team within our Power Delivery Solutions (PDS) division. PDS provides consulting services to public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities for comprehensive engineering design of electrical transmission, substation, and distribution projects nationwide.

Primary Responsibilities
Independently lead project teams to complete engineering designs of various sized electric infrastructure projects for electric utilities
Accept responsibility for overall project performance and reporting
Manage project costs, schedule and scope within approved limits, including the development of recovery plans when needed
Ensure contract compliance
Drive work products by coordinating and working with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverables
Ensure and document adherence to the quality control process
Interface directly with the client and internal management to solve issues and report progress, costs, schedule adherence and risks across a program of projects
Communicate with clients, internal project teams, multiple engineering disciplines, functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel
Prepare bid documents; Develop cost estimates and responses to Requests for Proposal
Complete monthly invoices, accruals, and accounts receivable within prescribed time frames
Identify business development opportunities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or a closely related discipline is required
A minimum of three (3) + years of relevant Project Management experience
Experience with project management software (e.g., Workfront, MS Project, P6)
Demonstrated experience managing and reporting project financial performance, budgets, proposals, scopes and schedules
Must have the capability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts on project tasks
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to interact with customer representatives in an effective manner
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
Experience with MS Office Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Periodic travel (less than 2%); Candidates should possess a valid US driver's license
Hybrid office attendance (2-3 days in office, remaining days work from home) out of our Charlotte office is required, so candidates must be able to report to our office regularly
Preferred
PMP Certification
Familiarity with electric power infrastructure projects and knowledge of business issues associated with power delivery services
Demonstrated success with a team approach to the consulting business
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Pay Range: Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
