Summary Our Associate Store Managers are integral to the success of the HOKA Brand. As an Associate Store Manager you partner closely with the Store Manager and District Manager to attract, develop, and motivate a passionate team. You share the HOKA Brand values, vision, and mission, and actively cultivate a culture of trust and accountability.
Description As a store leader you continually build and develop team members through recruiting, training, and coaching to meet short and long‑term business needs. You lead your team to drive Brand awareness and education while providing excellent service. You maintain high training standards that enable your team to deliver elevated shopping experiences that invite customers to learn about and experience the HOKA Brand.
You drive operational excellence in all aspects of the store, taking responsibility for inventory, cash, and labor. You execute visual merchandising directions that promote the Brand image and ensure a well‑managed back‑of‑house. You drive sales and KPIs, focusing on key strategic priorities and remaining agile to adapt to business needs.
Community is integral to the HOKA Brand. You understand the importance of cultivating community within and beyond the store’s four walls. You invite customers into the HOKA community through interactions with HOKA Experts, creative local engagement, and dynamic support of Brand events. You keep abreast of industry trends and local competitors, working with the Store Manager and District Manager to meet and anticipate customer demands.
Core Competencies
Coach and develop team members to build an empowered and engaged team.
Ensure the highest level of customer service and prioritize brand and product knowledge training.
Partner with the Store Manager and District Manager in executing retail programs that enhance customer satisfaction, expand traffic, and optimize profitability.
Meet and exceed budgeted sales and KPIs, and monitor expenses.
Drive store strategies that enhance customer satisfaction, increase traffic, and optimize profitability.
Continuously cultivate community through events, local outreach, and proactive engagement with the market beyond the store.
Implement store administration and operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Manage inventory to support store needs.
Hire best team members by identifying talent and maintaining a recruiting network.
Onboard and train team members to ensure engaged and high‑performing teams.
Ensure the highest level of visual merchandising standards, executing visual directives and guidelines.
Drive key initiatives and programs that enhance the customer journey.
Key Qualifications
Two (2) to four (4) years minimum retail store management experience.
Excellent communication skills and ability to convey the HOKA and Deckers Brands Vision and Mission to team and customers.
Excellent leadership skills and experience managing people in a customer‑facing environment.
Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets and cost management for a store of comparable volume and size.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to coordinate people, resources, and services to meet business goals.
Fantastic problem‑solving skills and ability to work through challenges.
Ability to be agile to meet the needs of the business, within and beyond the four walls of the store.
Experience coordinating and hosting regular in‑store and local events.
Additional Requirements
Flexibility of schedule and hours to meet the needs of the business.
Flexibility to travel to meet the needs of the business.
Valid State or Federal Identification.
