Summary
The Senior Product Manager, Technical is an individual contributor role. This position seeks a skilled and motivated Procurement Technical Product Manager with a strong background in network operations and commercial leasing to lead the strategic roadmap for transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will serve as a critical link between business stakeholders, technical teams, and the broader organization to ensure the successful delivery of scalable, innovative solutions that drive operational efficiency. This role demands a balance of strategic planning, effective prioritization, and hands-on technical product management. It offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects and shape the future of business operations while fostering a culture of innovation and agility.
Job Responsibilities
Product Ownership:
Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for network procurement and lease management solutions, aligning with organizational goals and stakeholder requirements. Own the product lifecycle for network procurement platforms and tools, including lease management systems and asset management. Understand business processes and offer future-state recommendations to steer toward leading practice outcomes. Translate business needs into actionable product requirements with clear requirements and acceptance criteria. Understand and evaluate internal and external technological tools and solutions to support product roadmap. Engage and support vendor management and selection of tools and solutions. Translate complex business needs into detailed product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications. Knowledge of the end-to-end processes within a STP (Source to Pay) workstream.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Create a future-state procurement roadmap that considers and incorporates larger enterprise product roadmaps and timelines. Serve as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries, managing expectations and fostering strong relationships. Work closely with supply chain product team, customer-facing product teams, and broader cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and drive consensus.
Process Optimization
Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement across the procurement organization. Analyze existing workflows and recommend enhancements using data-driven insights and industry best practices. Ensure that product solutions meet compliance requirements within the procurement domain.
Data-Driven Decision Making
Utilize KPIs and data analytics to monitor the performance of supply chain solutions and guide prioritization decisions. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and innovations in procurement and supply chain technologies.
Education And Work Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's Degree preferred. 7+ years of experience in product management and network and lease management operations. Experience building product roadmaps within a large supply chain organization. Experience with procurement ERP systems such as SAP Ariba and/or Oracle Cloud as well as other niche procurement system offerings. Telecom experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Agile methodologies and product management tools like Jira, Confluence, and roadmap platforms. Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and cloud-based solutions. Strong understanding of data analytics tools and techniques. Strong understanding of supply chain systems in market and on the horizon.
Soft Skills
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities. Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Skills And Certifications
Supply Chain & Procurement experience. ERP Product/Systems such as SAP Ariba and/or Oracle Cloud as well as other niche procurement systems. Real Estate systems, how to manage leases. Executive presentation and presence. Proficient in Agile methodologies and product management tools like Jira, Confluence, and roadmap platforms.
