Overview

The Manager of Beebe Healthcare’s Community Pharmacy (Cape Pharmacy) integrates within a comprehensive healthcare system. This position will lead pharmacy operations with a focus on clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, patient-centered care, and strategic alignment within health system goals. This role oversees Cape Pharmacy’s engagement with the community while ensuring the pharmacy serves as a hub for accessible, high-quality pharmacy services.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership, Clinical Oversight, Patient Care: Oversee daily pharmacy operations including staffing, inventory, budgeting, and operational workflow management. Implement cost-effective systems to optimize medication availability and reduce waste. Oversight of compounding operations that include recipes, guidelines, and regulatory processes. Oversight of DME operations in the Community Pharmacy. Member of operational teams to improve services to the community and patients (such as Meds to Beds, DME taskforce, et cetera). Will function as the Pharmacist In Charge for the Community Pharmacy Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance: Maintain full adherence to federal and state pharmacy laws, healthcare system policies, and accreditation standards. Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs. Oversight of pharmaceutical compounding, including human and veterinarian compounding. Strategic Planning & Integration: Align pharmacy operations with system-wide strategic goals, including population health, value-based care models, and fiscally responsible patient-centric care. Identify opportunities for financially responsible service expansion (e.g. immunizations, specialty pharmacy, et cetera). Team Development & Training: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing community pharmacy team. Foster a culture of professional growth, accountability, and patient advocacy. Oversight of Pharmacy residents during their community pharmacy rotation. Community Engagement & Outreach: Build relationships with local providers, patients, and community organizations to promote pharmacy services. Represent the pharmacy in system initiatives and community health efforts.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Registered Pharmacist (RPh) Active Delaware state pharmacist license Minimum 3–5 years of pharmacy leadership experience preferred Authorized/Certified Immunizing Pharmacist Strong knowledge of retail and clinical pharmacy practices Excellent communication, team leadership, and analytical skills Familiarity with healthcare system operations, payer models, and pharmacy informatics is a plus
