1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants As a CAD & 3D Systems Administrator, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems using advanced CAD tools and 3D scanning technologies. You will be instrumental in ensuring accurate point cloud data capture and translating that into actionable designs and layouts for field operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, a creative approach to problem-solving, and experience working with CAD software to create detailed designs. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful design, prototyping, and implementation of products (such as TopCon total station & point data management software). Key Responsibilities: Design and Development : Create detailed 2D and 3D mechanical designs using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit, Topcon Magnet Field, etc.). Develop technical specifications and generate design documentation. Development and Modeling : Work with the engineering team to build 3D models, provide accurate point cloud data, and perform industrial precision measurements to ensure successful installation, performance, and reliability. Problem Solving : Identify and resolve design challenges, measurements, and data issues, providing innovative solutions to meet performance, cost, and quality objectives. Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, welders, safety teams, and quality control teams, to ensure successful product development. Design Optimization : Continuously evaluate and improve designs/drawings and troubleshoot questions from field personnel. Documentation : Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all designs, drawings, calculations, and reports. Compliance : Ensure all designs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety compliance. Continuous Improvement : Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in mechanical design, materials, and technologies to apply innovative solutions.
