We look forward to building our future with you. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures. Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care. Take and develop X‑rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models. Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake. Assist dentist in managing dental and medical emergencies. CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory required. Qualifications Completion of a certified dental assistant program 1 year on‑the‑job experience (with supporting documentation) X‑ray certification — required Expanded Functions Dental Assistant — required Nitrous Oxide certification highly recommended High school diploma or equivalent Dental assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
