Position Description
CGI has an immediate need for an ETL tester to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast‑paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side‑by‑side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.
Responsibilities
You will: validate complex data workflows, develop automated test scripts, and ensure the integrity of data across AWS platforms. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to uphold quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
Deep understanding of QA methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Strong SQL skills for data validation across multiple databases
Proficiency in Unix scripting for file handling and log analysis
Hands‑on experience with Python for automation and data preparation
Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, RDS, SNS/SQS, EMR, and Step Functions
Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data validation issues efficiently
Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams
Exposure to AI‑enhanced development tools like GitHub Copilot
Relevant certifications in AWS, QA automation, or Python are a plus
Minimum of 6 years in enterprise‑level QA engineering roles
Educational Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Compensation
A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $85,100.00–$121,200.00.
