Description : This role supports a DoD program at Lackland AFB. On-site presence: 50%. Travel: 0%. On-call: 0%. Metronome is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex software capabilities for computer-based systems. You will work closely with other talented engineers to create software solutions that meet our clients' needs. Security Clearance - A current TS/SCI level U.S. Government Security Clearance is required; U.S. Citizenship required. At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g., Spring, Guava), and a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience. Experience in designing enterprise APIs. Experience in RESTful web services. Experience in Microservices architecture. Experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms. Experience with the agile software lifecycle. Proven ability to learn quickly and work well both independently and in a team setting. Experience with the Linux operating system. Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Git, Nexus, Maven). Must be able to obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire. Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 2 days per week at our San Antonio, TX office. Flexibility is essential to accommodate schedule changes. DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required as directed by the customer. A current Secret level security clearance is a plus. Experience in cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure). Experience with distributed databases, NoSQL databases, full-text search engines (e.g., Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr). Scripting experience is highly desirable. Familiarity or prior experience with our Big Data Platform is a plus. Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise).
