Job Responsibilities Operate equipment including frontend loader, 12k forklift or smaller with rotator, bobcat and skid steer, following Sims safety regulations and golden rules. Provide pre‑shift and end‑shift inspections and ensure greasing and daily upkeep of equipment and work areas. Perform routine maintenance (lubricating, fueling, cleaning). Complete inspection reports prior to using equipment. Safely operate machinery under the direction of a shift supervisor or production manager (e.g., load trucks, pile scrap material, load/unload barges and rail cars). Conduct end‑shift clean‑up and equipment inspection. Regularly clean equipment to preserve its quality and functionality. Commit to overall safety of the work environment. Sweep and shovel residual waste from the process. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license. Minimum 12 months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to meet the physical demands described in the job.
