Location:
On-site, River North, Chicago, IL (public transit accessible, company paid parking provided)
Compensation:
$65,000 – $75,000 per year, plus annual discretionary bonus
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, standard business hours (flexible start/end times available)
About the Opportunity A well-established, rapidly growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join its finance team. This is a high-impact, on-site role with opportunities for professional growth and advancement. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, financial analysis, and reporting, and will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries; adjust account balances monthly
Compile and analyze account information for reconciliations
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Support operational budgeting and long-term financial projections
Assist with month‑end and year‑end close, and tax preparation
Provide financial reports for internal stakeholders
Collaborate with the Controller and finance leadership on special projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of accounting experience (healthcare or related industry preferred)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Annual base salary: $69,000 – $75,000 (commensurate with experience)
Annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance
