Position Summary The Bistro Supervisor supports the Courtyard by Marriott brand experience by ensuring an inviting, efficient, and guest-focused environment within the Bistro. This role oversees the daily shift operations, ensuring high-quality food and beverage preparation, timely service, and adherence to Marriott brand standards. The supervisor also assists the Bistro Manager with team development, inventory, and overall operational excellence.
Core Responsibilities
Support the hiring, onboarding, and continuous training of Bistro team members in alignment with Marriott service culture and brand expectations.
Ensure all food, beverage, and service standards meet or exceed Courtyard by Marriott guidelines, including product quality, presentation, and cleanliness.
Oversee shift operations, maintain workstations, monitor food and beverage stock levels, and provide direct support to associates as needed.
Maintain compliance with all health, sanitation, and safety standards, as well as Marriott and property-specific policies.
Create and adjust team schedules based on business levels, guest demand, and forecasted occupancy.
Assist with inventory and place orders for food, beverages, and supplies to ensure proper stock and product consistency.
Foster a positive, guest-first environment in accordance with Marriott’s “Service So Memorable” standards.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions during peak business periods.
Comfortable using POS systems, ordering platforms, and Marriott technology tools.
Knowledge of food safety, beverage service, and alcohol service guidelines (state and Marriott requirements).
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time throughout the shift.
Ability to safely lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions.
Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures (kitchen, storage, service areas).
Exposure to food and beverage odors.
