Constellation Search Group is looking for a Software Engineer - Ruby on Rails (ROR) for a full-time direct hire position. The role involves developing and maintaining web applications using Ruby on Rails, programming well‑constructed and testable code. The candidate will work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver high‑quality software solutions.

Base pay range: $125,000.00/yr - $136,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Act as a developer for the blood supply management product.

Contribute to the development and architecture of mission‑critical software.

Collaborate with a diverse team of developers and stakeholders.

Support applications on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Utilize a tech stack including GCP, Ruby on Rails, Vue, PostgreSQL, and Terraform.

Deliver high quality code to the healthcare industry with high throughput and self‑driven initiative.

Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Expert level experience in software development with over 8 years in the field, including 5+ years in Ruby on Rails.

Expertise in PostgreSQL with 5+ years of experience.

Proficiency with cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS.

Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.

Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.

Ability to collaborate in a fast‑paced, agile development environment.

Previous experience in healthcare or medical device development (FDA, 510k) is a plus.
