Description The position is onboard the Naval Information Warfare Center San Diego to support in-house business development activities for C5ISR systems. This senior level role requires periodic communication with senior level military and civilian personnel, and daily liaison with program and project personnel.

Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with C5ISR, digital engineering, autonomy, and manufacturing support services.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, gaps, and partnership opportunities in DoW, NATO, and Foreign Military Sales sectors.

Coordinate with engineers, scientists, and project leads to shape proposals and develop paths or technology transition.

Conduct Return on Investment and Cost Benefit analysis.

Maintain relationships with government stakeholders (NIWC Pacific, NAVWAR, ONR, NAVAIR) and industry primes to align with broader mission needs.

Lead media development, manage STEM outreach events.

Coordinate the design and production of materials highlighting key capabilities in Mixed Reality, Reality Capture, Advanced Manufacturing, Cyber Security, Computer Vision, and Robotics.

Ensure compliance with DoD visual standards, branding guidelines, and public affairs policies.

Requirements

B.S. or B.A. in a technology‑related field (MBA desired but not required).

Previous demonstrated experience working with senior military personnel in both an operational and maintenance setting; knowledge and ability to create reports and briefs at the flag level.

Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, resource management, personnel supervision, establishing policies, and acting as the primary point of contact with higher authorities and sometimes the public.

Must be conversant with C5ISR system architecture and understand execution of program objectives and engineering activities within NAVWAR and PEO C4I.

Experience with contracting, vendor negotiations, applicable technology contracts, and understanding of access constraints to arrange/negotiate assignments as required.

Understanding of roles and interactions between higher echelon Navy commands; position local to NIWCPAC San Diego but remote work from home allowed.

Travel Required: 10‑25 %.

U.S. Citizenship required.

Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or be able to obtain/reestablish this level of clearance.

Compensation Annual salary $185,000 to $210,000.
