Lead Systems Specialist – Data Platform Services (Enterprise Technology & Infrastructure)

Role Overview This L8 production‑support focused role is a go‑to expert for ensuring the stability, integrity, and performance of mission‑critical business platforms, including Data Cloud tenants, Salesforce orgs, integration layers, and dependent features such as Tableau Next implementations. The candidate thrives in a fast‑paced support environment, resolves complex technical issues, and acts as a technical and process expert for business partners.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary contact for major incidents and production events, owning the response process from triage to resolution and stakeholder communication.
Own platform roadmap for operational health, reliability, and supportability of the Enterprise Data Cloud environments.
Lead disaster‑recovery planning and execution with continuous monitoring and alerting.
Serve as the vendor and infrastructure relationship owner, collaborating with engineering and business teams to optimize end‑to‑end processes.
Drive new technology innovation for proactive operational management, identifying opportunities to remediate technical debt and increase platform stability.
Manage multiple projects using proven support playbooks, ensuring quality delivery of enterprise solutions.
Transfer knowledge throughout the organization, mentoring junior staff and new hires.
Provide expert‑level production support and administration for Salesforce Data Cloud, including user management, data imports, and bug resolution.
Prioritize and resolve support tickets in accordance with SLAs.
Troubleshoot complex platform issues related to declarative configurations, security models, and data integrity.
Conduct root‑cause analysis for major incidents to prevent recurrence.
Implement and maintain monitoring solutions for early detection and platform health.
Ensure reliable data flow between Salesforce Data Cloud and enterprise systems.
Maintain runbooks, knowledge base articles, and technical support documentation.
Own SLA delivery, maintaining system availability per standards.
Adhere to security and SOX policy compliance for all support activities and configurations.
Contribute to design, development, and maintenance of application enhancements and upgrades.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in systems administration or technical support leadership focused on production support.
Expert platform‑specific development, implementation, or support experience in an enterprise IT environment.
Deep knowledge of Salesforce ecosystem native functionality and best practices.
Advanced coding skills, including APIs, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce Web Services.
Proven experience administering and troubleshooting Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Data Cloud environments.
Experience with Salesforce developer toolkit such as Force.com IDE, Migration Tool, and data migration tools (Data Loader, Workbench).
Hands‑on support and monitoring of integrations.
High proficiency in supporting analytics environments (e.g., Tableau).
Strong problem‑solving mindset, able to perform under pressure.
Project management skills, juggling multiple initiatives across user groups.
Required Certifications:
Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification
Salesforce Platform App Builder
Required to have or achieve within first 90 days:
Sales Cloud Consultant Certification
Service Cloud Consultant Certification
Salesforce Platform Developer Certification
Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant
A related technical degree is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience implementing ESB/Integration architecture, rules, caching.
Experience with Continuous Delivery platforms, IaC principles (Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform).
Understanding of data governance practices (metadata management, data lineage, glossaries).
Familiarity with Salesforce development stack (Flows, Apex).
Knowledge of Tableau Cloud/Server administration and Tableau Next features.
Additional industry certifications (e.g., JavaScript Developer I, additional Cloud Consultant).
Demonstrable understanding of data governance, security, and compliance (PII, GDPR, SOX).
Proven ability to design, configure, and support scalable CDP/Data Cloud platforms.
