$69 per hour

8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities Research & Development
Lead complex assignments involving the development of new or improved techniques, procedures, and testing methods for novel medical devices.
Independently conduct development work as part of major research or development projects, requiring minimal technical oversight.
Develop new or refined technologies, products, materials, processes, equipment, or scientific methods that broaden the company's IP portfolio.
Assess the feasibility, reliability, and soundness of alternative engineering processes, products, or equipment.
Successfully execute engineering work in areas including technology development, product design, material testing, specification preparation, process studies, and research investigations (animal or clinical studies).
Lead project teams to achieve objectives, providing guidance and mentoring to product and technology teams, less experienced engineers, and technicians.
Test Method Development
Lead development of test methods for conditioned testing on novel medical devices and sub-assemblies.
Apply test method process methodologies to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Project Management & Documentation
Coordinate, manage, and document project goals, timelines, and progress; recommend appropriate adjustments.
Develop and coach others on proper engineering documentation practices.
Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of PDP/TPD systems through coaching, mentoring, and delivery of high-quality, high-impact project deliverables.
Quality Systems
Integrate quality into all aspects of engineering work, maintaining compliance with all regulatory and internal quality requirements.
Leverage experience with medical device quality systems to accelerate project delivery and mitigate risk.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
BS: 9-13 years' experience
MS: 7-11 years' experience
PhD: 4-8 years' experience
Skills
Proven expertise in test method development, sterilization, and aging protocols for medical devices.
Strong knowledge of medical device quality systems and regulatory compliance.
Hands-on experience leading R&D projects and mentoring technical teams.
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent, complex engineering work and contribute to innovation.
Excellent communication and documentation skills for technical reporting and team guidance.
