Job Description:

L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is seeking a Specialist, RF/Wireless Engineer to support our Next Gen TDL products, including STT sustaining, STT Next development, and the BATS line of products.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for RF design and integration of both new and existing radio transceivers within the Tactical Data Link (TDL) universe.

Use RF analysis tools and techniques, applying knowledge of RF and mixed‑signal designs to enhance product capability and troubleshoot existing products.

Collaborate with Systems, Digital Hardware and Test Engineers to advance designs for the next generation of L3Harris TDL products.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum 4 years of related experience; or Graduate Degree with minimum 2 years of related experience; or minimum 8 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.

Experience with RF, analog and mixed‑signal hardware; RF circuit design and simulation (e.g., low‑noise amplification, frequency synthesis, PLLs, signal transmission, up/downconversion, A/D, D/A conversion, filtering, power amplifiers).

Proficient in RF system design, wireless communications, and signal processing.

Ability to independently analyze, test, and debug RF and mixed‑signal designs, including digital hardware and power regulators/switchers.

Experience with RF simulation tools such as ADS, AWR, SPICE, HFSS, Nuhertz.

Strong team‑player, problem‑solving and communication skills.

US citizenship and ability to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

DoD Security Clearance.

Proficiency in schematic capture (e.g., DxDesigner/Expedition) and PCB layout for RF circuits.

Experience creating test scripts and using automation for circuit validation.

Matlab programming and familiarity with scripts; some experience with LabView, TestStand, or Python.

Salary Range (California):

$95,000 – $177,000 (subject to experience and location).
