The CFO/Comptroller will collaborate with the CEO and Board of Directors on strategic planning and growth initiatives, cost control, and financial risk mitigation.

Clay County Memorial Hospital is a county-owned Critical Access Hospital (CAH)

providing healthcare for a variety of medical needs that cover primary care to emergency and urgent care services. There is a Wellness Center, Pain Management Program, General Surgery, Home Health, Senior Life Solutions (an outpatient mental health program for senior adults), Rehabilitation Services, Emergency Medical Services, swing beds and Rural Health Clinic.

The facility has been in continuous operation for 76 years.

Henriette is the county seat of Clay County and is approximately Twenty (20) miles southeast of Wichita Falls and ninety (90) miles northwest of Fort Worth, Texas. The population of Henriette is 3,106 with the County’s population being 10,263.

Experience in a Critical Access Hospital is required.

Duties of the CFO/Comptroller are management and oversight all aspects of financial operations of the hospital including:

Manage Revenue Cycle to optimize revenue, reduce claim denials, and improve patient satisfaction.

Oversee and review the receipt of all cash, supervise deposits and maintain cash control.

Prepare trial balances, financial statements and special exhibits as well as proper classification, coding, posting and balancing of all financial accounting documents and funds of the hospital.

Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.

Support the CEO in engaging the Board of Managers concerning issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.

Provide leadership in strengthening internal communication with staff at all levels throughout the organization. Create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.

Experience with CPSI’s Electronic Health Record System is preferred.
