As a Mid Market Account Executive, you will sit within the Corporations business unit and introduce venture‑backed executives and founders to our best‑in‑class software platform to streamline equity management, stay compliant, and unlock liquidity in the private markets. This role focuses on selling equity and ESOP management services to mid‑stage privately held companies, as well as Carta Total Compensation and Tax Advisory offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Communicate the business impact of exceptional software to key decision makers
Understand customer needs and requirements and act as a trusted business advisor
Drive revenue through strategic outbound prospecting
Own the entire sales lifecycle, from lead generation to close
Develop a comprehensive sales strategy and sales plan that ensures consistent achievement of goals over the short and long‑term
Willing to dive into the venture capital industry to understand how we provide value to stakeholders across the ecosystem
About You
3‑5 years of experience in a quota‑carrying SaaS sales role
Experience outbound prospecting, willing to hunt, navigating a greenfield territory managing a pipeline, and closing large contracts
Self‑starter, humble, and adaptable to change
Excels in both personal ambition and collaborative teamwork
Experience in fintech, venture capital, legal tech, or compliance tech
Undergone sales methodology trainings (Sandler, MEDDIC, MEDPIC)
SFDC literacy and proficiency
Compensation
– Our package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full‑time roles, exceptional benefits, and a commission plan. The minimum cash compensation (salary + commission) range for this role is $195,000 OTE in SF and NY ($43.75 per hour). Final offers may vary based on geography, candidate experience and other factors.
