THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated Hardware Verification Engineer for Pure’s Hyperscale Line of Business. The Pure Engineering Team builds the industry’s most innovative, high-performance, energy-efficient and TCO-optimised storage solution. As part of this team, you will help productize this differentiated storage solution for hyperscale customers. You will work with the hyperscale customers to understand their requirements and tailor Pure’s unique solution to their needs. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Responsibilities include working with hyperscale customers, ODM/JDM partners and internal development teams to test, debug and qualify HW design projects. Participation in different phases of the product development cycle including design validation, Mfg test, failure analysis, support for field issues Define, implement and automate HW validation and qualification test plans Help debug testbeds and HW related escalation both internal and external Improve qualification processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and product robustness for hyperscale Perform basic administration of lab infrastructure, testbeds and provide configuration and maintenance support. Perform failure and root cause analysis activities in support of system hardening efforts and customer escalations Analyze large datasets from test results and distill findings into clear, actionable summaries for stakeholders at all levels We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave. WHAT YOU BRING
5+ years experience as a HW Validation Engineer. Experience working at enterprise data storage system companies, server product or companies with server fleet preferred Strong experience with scripting languages (i.e. Python, bash, csh etc) for test development and hardware configuration Strong understanding of X86 server architecture, BIOS, BMC firmware and proven track record of productization Proficient in some variant of Linux OS environment Experience planning, implementing and automating HW qualification processes Highly self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, technical development environment Strong verbal and written communication skills B.S. Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering (or equivalent professional experience) #LI-ONSITE Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity. There is no application deadline and we accept applications on an ongoing basis until the job is filled.
