As a Principal Product Quality Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring the stability and reliability of semiconductor manufacturing processes. This role involves defining standard operating procedures, applying statistical tools, and supporting audits to maintain high product quality standards. Additionally, the Principal Product Quality Engineer is a strategic leader responsible for architecting and driving global quality frameworks across multiple manufacturing sites. This role uses advanced engineering expertise, data analytics, and multi-functional collaboration to ensure process stability, product reliability, and continuous improvement at scale. You will influence global strategy and drive innovation.
Responsibilities
Lead multi-functional and cross-site teams to resolve complex quality issues, driving global alignment and continuous improvement. Develop and implement global quality management systems in partnership with other Micron manufacturing facilities. Monitor and report on critical quality metrics, including DPM, yield variation, and reliability performance. Supervise Wafer Level Reliability (WLR) and Wafer Level Burn In (WLBI) to ensure wafer quality and reliability. Support the disposition of critical SWRs, qualification processes, and Fab Excursion-affected materials. Apply advanced semiconductor process expertise to optimize manufacturing performance and reliability worldwide. Drive adoption of advanced statistical tools (SPC, DOE, regression analysis, machine learning) for predictive analytics and process control. Define and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across product lines, supporting audits and corrective actions. Required Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Materials, or a related field). Minimum 8 years of experience in product quality, manufacturing, process engineering, or product engineering. Proven ability to lead global quality engineering initiatives in the semiconductor or electronics industry. Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis, quality systems, deviation management, and problem-solving. Strong leadership, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills, with deep expertise in semiconductor process flows and failure analysis. Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with DRAM or NAND QRA, process integration, or global quality in a high-volume manufacturing (HVM) environment. Proficient in statistical process control and yield analysis tools. Solid understanding of ISO standards, audit procedures, and regulatory compliance.
