We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join the Qatar MQ‑9B International Programs Engineering team. This position reports to the program engineering manager and is responsible for the planning, managing, and overseeing of technical aspects of the program. It will include technical and management oversight of contract activities on the program, work closely with program management and customer counterparts to define system requirements, develop program plans, develop proposals, execute development and test activities, complete airworthiness certification, set up customer site(s), and support initial sustainment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage technical execution phases of MQ‑9B program from proposal through delivery of the UAS to the Customer.
Represent the organization as a technical contact for the program including frequent interface with senior members of the Customer and GA‑ASI organizations.
Formulate plans and guide the development and implementation of engineering solutions, including resource requirements, integration, configuration, testing, documentation, and export compliance.
Manage functional groups to meet program objectives while monitoring budget and schedule constraints.
Advise or direct the activities of assigned project(s)/program(s) to achieve technical objectives.
Coordinate with sub‑contractors and vendors to achieve successful integration, test, and delivery of UAS to Customer.
Provide leadership for a project/program and give direction and guidance to less experienced professional staff or a team of professional staff.
Contribute to the development of new business opportunities and expansion of existing business opportunities through Customer engagement and responses to Customer inquiries.
Manage the development of and ensure the security of proprietary technology and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Promote teamwork and coordination between various functional groups and business units.
Travel up to 25% is required to support customer meetings which will occur both in the US and OCONUS.
Plan for future applications of solutions based on IRAD activity and new developments in engineering technology.
Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ensure compliance, reporting, and safety standards are maintained.
Observe all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows: six or more years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, four or more years of experience with a master’s degree, or two or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
Must have a thorough understanding of engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory; experience demonstrating a broad application of those concepts; and expanding knowledge of principles, concepts, theory, and practices in related technical specialties.
Must possess the ability to develop and communicate new concepts; apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems.
Must have strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to perform complex tasks in one or more engineering areas.
Capable of representing the organization as a prime technical contact and lead a team of moderately experienced professional employees on single component projects.
Able to work extended hours as required.
A Professional Engineering License and original work published in professional engineering journals are desirable.
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance is required.
Desirable Qualifications:
MQ‑9B system and program knowledge.
A strong understanding of MQ‑9B and Customer technical roadmap.
Experience leading development, integration, and test of new capabilities or technologies.
Experience with production oversight, payload integration, and fielding experience preferred.
Experience with USAF MQ‑9 FMS program office, other USG program offices, and international customer(s).
Knowledge of DoD and/or NATO requirements generation and military system acquisition processes is highly desirable.
Extensive knowledge in project management practices and principles is preferred.
Candidate is desired to have experience with Product Management, Proposal Development, Basis of Estimation, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
A Professional Engineering License, original work(s) published in professional engineering journals, invited to present one or more original works to a national or international engineering symposium, and invited to chair engineering review panels as a technical expert are desirable.
