As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank organization, you will play a crucial role as part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market‑leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.

Job responsibilities

Partners with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and define future strategies for architecture and application development

Collaborates with stakeholders to onboard new marketing tools, guiding them through firmwide onboarding processes to enhance user engagement

Translates business and functional requirements into technical designs aligned with enterprise‑level architecture standards

Develops and maintains Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) components to support high‑availability, high‑traffic sites

Diagnoses, debugs, and resolves technical issues related to CMS implementation and complex system integrations

Collaborates with cross‑functional technical teams on application deployment, performance optimization, monitoring, reliability, and scalability

Design and develop reusable templates, components, and services in partnership with technology, product, and business teams

Builds and optimizes web user interfaces using AEM and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React), ensuring cross‑browser/platform compatibility and speed

Works closely with design, business analysis, project management, and content teams to ensure technical feasibility, design quality, and timely delivery of web assets

Supports global teams across time zones and collaborate on A/B testing, requirements definition, and cross‑platform design initiatives

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience

Hands‑on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability

Hands‑on coding experience in Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs

Experience with

Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

architecture, components, templates, and workflows

Demonstrated knowledge of architecture and design across all systems

Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods

Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle

Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

In‑depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices

Strong understanding of SEO, web analytics, and performance optimization
