Responsibilities
Administrative Support:
Handle tasks such as grant submissions, contracting mechanisms (staff, students, POs, etc.), reimbursements, and develop administrative systems and templates to enhance operational efficiency.
Project Management:
Manage and coordinate projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to plans and budgets, including student management, milestone tracking, resource allocation, and issue resolution. For research projects, support faculty in study design, IRB protocol development, data collection and cleaning, and findings interpretation.
Communications and Outreach:
Develop and disseminate findings through research briefs, blog posts, and presentations. Craft clear, engaging content to communicate complex research ideas to diverse audiences.
Event Planning:
Support organization of events, workshops, and seminars, coordinating logistics, speaker recruitment, and participant engagement, including travel budgets and reimbursements.
Professional Learning and Growth:
Foster a culture of belonging, exemplify Haas’ leadership principles, complete required training, and pursue learning opportunities.
Required Qualifications
Experience working independently and taking initiative, and in team environments.
Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Strong analytical, research, and data synthesis skills with attention to detail.
Excellent multitasking ability with demanding timeframes.
Working knowledge of, or ability to learn, UC administrative systems and programs including HR, Finance, and Events Planning.
Exemplifies Haas’ four Defining Leadership Principles.
Education / Training
Bachelor’s degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior project management or program management experience.
Demonstrated sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
Salary & Benefits The budgeted hourly range is
$30.17 - $41.04 . This is a one-year, full-time (40 hours/week), contract appointment eligible for UC benefits with possibility of extension. It is a non-exempt, biweekly-paid position.
