Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly experienced S/4HANA BRIM (Billing & Revenue Innovation Management) Architect for a long‑term contract engagement supporting a major SAP‑enabled transformation program. This role is responsible for leading the design, integration, and delivery of the BRIM solution across the enterprise landscape. The ideal candidate brings deep functional expertise across the full BRIM stack—Subscription Order Management (SOM), Convergent Charging (CC), Convergent Invoicing (CI/FI‑CA), and integration with S/4HANA Finance—combined with hands‑on configuration skills and the leadership presence to guide consultants and client stakeholders. This is a player/coach role requiring both technical delivery and strong leadership capabilities. Exceptional communication skills are essential for collaboration with team members, program leaders, and senior client executives.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the lead architect for the S/4HANA BRIM solution, defining the end‑to‑end architecture across Subscription, Rating/Charging, Invoicing, and Receivables components.

Drive design workshops and blueprinting sessions, shaping the global BRIM template and ensuring alignment with business requirements, industry best practices, and the client’s overall enterprise architecture.

Develop integration strategies between BRIM, S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO, FI‑CA), CRM/SOM, and external systems such as payment gateways, mediation platforms, and customer/partner portals.

Produce high‑quality design documentation, functional specifications, and configuration standards.

Lead hands‑on configuration in key BRIM components (CC, CI, FI‑CA, SOM) as required to support program delivery.

Oversee testing strategies including unit testing, integration testing, UAT, performance testing, and defect resolution.

Guide data migration, conversion mapping, and reconciliation activities relevant to BRIM objects, contracts, invoices, and financial postings.

Support cutover planning, deployment readiness, and hyper‑care/post‑go‑live stabilization for BRIM‑related workstreams.

Direct the BRIM workstream across onshore, offshore, and cross‑functional teams, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery.

Manage dependencies with OTC, Finance, Subscription Management, Reporting/Analytics, and Integration teams.

Identify, mitigate, and resolve solution and delivery risks, escalating as needed.

Provide expert guidance on SAP Billing, Subscription Management, and Revenue processes in large, complex global transformation environments.

Collaborate closely with business process owners, global leads, architects, and PMO to drive alignment and decision‑making.

Communicate solution options, architectural considerations, and trade‑offs to senior client leadership in a clear and concise manner.

Facilitate workshops, leadership briefings, and cross‑team design sessions for key BRIM components.

Serve as a trusted advisor to the client, offering strategic insight into best practices for subscription, usage‑based billing, and revenue management models.

Operate as a player/coach, mentoring consultants and client team members while contributing directly to hands‑on delivery.

Uphold SAP Activate methodology and delivery discipline across all phases of the transformation.

Promote delivery excellence, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement across the BRIM workstream.

Required Skills

8+ years of SAP Billing/Revenue Management experience with at least 2 full lifecycle SAP BRIM or Subscription Billing implementations.

Deep hands‑on experience across BRIM components:

Subscription Order Management (SOM)

Convergent Charging (CC)

Convergent Invoicing (CI/FI‑CA)

Integration with S/4HANA Finance

Proven ability to architect and lead BRIM solutions in complex enterprise environments.

Strong understanding of usage rating, pricing, subscription lifecycle management, invoicing, and revenue processes.

Hands‑on configuration experience and expertise in functional design, integrations, testing, and deployment.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.

Demonstrated success delivering as a player/coach within large‑scale transformation programs.

Ability and willingness to travel based on client needs.

Preferred:

Experience with Subscription Billing, SAP Entitlement Management, or other consumption‑based billing platforms.

Background in telecom, media, high‑tech, SaaS, or industries with recurring/usage billing models.

Experience within a major SI, global consulting leader, or digital transformation‑focused firm.

Familiarity with Agile/Hybrid program methodologies and SAP Activate.
